Street2Scholar (S2S) Foundation was founded on one simple belief: a child's story should never end on a sidewalk.
Across Nigeria, millions of children are forced to call the streets home without education, protection, or the opportunities every child deserves. But they are more than a statistic. They are children with names, dreams, talents, and limitless potential.
At S2S, we exist to change that story. We reach children where they are, restore hope, open doors to education, and help them build a future where they can thrive - not just survive.
From Pastry to Purpose
One moment changed everything.
In 2008, while working in Nigeria as an educator and IT professional, Sara witnessed a scene she has never forgotten.
A group of street children - hungry, barefoot, and invisible to the crowds rushing past - shared a single small pastry. Each child took only the tiniest bite, making sure there was enough for everyone.
In the midst of extreme poverty, they chose generosity over greed.
That simple act of compassion was both heartbreaking and inspiring. It revealed not only the harsh realities these children faced but also their resilience, dignity, and hope. In that moment, Sara knew she could not simply walk away - she had to be part of creating lasting change.
Our Story
S2S Foundation was founded in 2026 by Sara Adeniyi, but its story began years earlier - with a question that refused to go away: What does it really take to help a child leave the streets for good?
Drawing on years of working with children and an MSc in Child and Adolescent Mental Health from Anglia Ruskin University, Sara concluded: charity can relieve a moment, but it cannot transform a future.
A meal can satisfy today's hunger. A coin can ease today's struggle. But neither can replace a loving family, quality education, healthcare, protection, or the opportunity to dream again.
That conviction gave birth to S2S Foundation a holistic, evidence-informed charity committed to walking alongside every child from crisis to classroom, from survival to opportunity, and from the street to the scholar's seat. Because every child deserves more than temporary relief they deserve the chance to build a future.
